This practical, EAL-accredited workshop introduces the core principles of Process Flow Analysis and how they can be applied to understand, evaluate, and enhance workplace processes. Over two days, participants will learn how to document the current flow of work, spot bottlenecks, and eliminate waste, leading to smoother operations and improved outcomes.

About the Course

This two-day, hands-on workshop focuses on the real-world application of Process Flow Analysis in a live or simulated workplace. Participants will carry out a Gemba Walk to observe processes first-hand, explore different ways of visually representing workflows, and record the current state of a process. Using this information, they will identify unnecessary steps, excessive delays, and non-value-added activities before redesigning a process that delivers greater efficiency and clarity.

The course includes guided activities to analyse real processes, with practical tips on engaging teams, choosing effective visual formats, and creating standardised workflows

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the purpose and benefits of Process Flow Analysis

  • Choose effective formats for visually representing processes

  • Conduct a Gemba Walk to observe and collect accurate process data

  • Record the current process from start to finish

  • Identify and eliminate non-value-added steps and unnecessary delays

  • Recommend and communicate process improvements
